About Joseph

As the Owner, Director, and Senior Clinician of New Constellation Family Therapy, I have 20 years of experience in the mental health field and have developed a strong set of clinical skills to address a wide variety of issues.

Some of my specialties include depression, anxiety management, psychosis, bipolar disorders, substance abuse, adolescent counseling, and family therapy. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Structured Interview for Psychosis-Risk Syndromes (SIPS) assessment, Psychosis Identification and Early Referral (PIER) model intervention, and Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT).

Our clinical team brings varied specialties, each driven by compassion and professionalism, and we are looking forward to meeting with you.

Who I Often See

Joseph often sees people concerned about psychosis, depression, bipolar disorder or anxiety, including adolescents and families. A change in perception, a disrupted routine or growing tension at home can be the concern that prompts a conversation.

His work includes SIPS assessment and the PIER model. An unusual experience can be hard to describe, and we can talk about assessment before you have a name for it. Families can ask how they might participate.

Format

Joseph offers in-person sessions in San Diego and telehealth across California. Individual, couples and family appointments are 50 minutes. We can talk about your preferred format and his availability together.

For office appointments, the address is 9655 Granite Ridge Drive, Suite 200, San Diego, CA 92123. For video appointments, you need to be located in California during the session. We can talk about scheduling before you arrange your day around a visit.

Related Care

A free 15-minute phone consultation gives you time to ask Joseph about your concern, including whether assessment or family participation makes sense. A call or text can begin that conversation. When mood concerns and family tension overlap, both deserve attention; you don’t need to separate them before reaching out.
