Skills for Everyday Demands

ADHD Support for Teens and Adults

A missed assignment or another unfinished task can lead to frustration long before anyone talks about attention. We make room for the effort behind those moments and work on skills that relate to school, work and home.

Who This Is For

ADHD support can suit teens and adults who feel overwhelmed by keeping track of tasks, shifting attention or managing strong emotions. Family friction may be part of the conversation, especially when reminders turn into arguments.

  • Teens ages 13 to 17
  • Young adults ages 18 to 25
  • Adults ages 26 to 64
  • Families facing repeated friction

Focus of Care

What We Work On

  • Focus

Attention during schoolwork, meetings and everyday tasks.

  • Organization

Planning and reminders that fit your actual day.

  • Emotional Overwhelm

Reactions to frustration, interruptions and unfinished work.

  • Family Routines

Expectations and communication around shared responsibilities.

How We Work

We draw on CBT, mindfulness and practical skills to look at a recent difficulty rather than judging your motivation. A session might include breaking a task into smaller parts or reframing a harsh thought after a missed deadline.

What Can Shift

A conversation about a late assignment can include what got in the way, not just what went wrong. We practice ways to respond to frustration and make expectations more specific. Your effort deserves a place in that conversation.

What Sessions Look Like

During a 50-minute session, we may examine a school morning or work task and practice a skill you want to try. We discuss family participation when it relates to the concern.

Care is available in person in San Diego and by telehealth across California. Therapy focuses on support and skills; we can coordinate with a physician or psychiatrist when assessment or medication questions need attention.

Arranging ADHD Support

A free 15-minute phone consultation can cover your concerns, clinician fit, insurance and superbills. We are in network with many plans; coverage depends on your plan.

Fees in Brief

Individual, couples and family sessions are 50 minutes. We are in network with many plans and provide superbills for out-of-network benefits. Contact us for rates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does This Page Offer an ADHD Diagnosis?

No, this service describes therapy support, not diagnostic testing. Questions about an ADHD evaluation can include referral to a physician or psychiatrist.

Can Therapy Replace Medication Advice?

No, medication decisions belong with a prescriber. When helpful, we discuss coordination so skills work and medical care can address different needs.

Can We Talk About School Without Blaming Our Teen?

Yes, we can look at the task, expectations and frustration together. The teen has room to describe what makes a school day difficult.

What If My Main Difficulty Is at Work?

Work demands can be the focus of adult sessions. We might examine attention during meetings, planning a task or emotions after a missed deadline.
